# Connect Waity to your agent

MCP server: https://api.waity.ai/mcp (tools find_waits and get_wait). Works without a key; a free key raises the limit to 1000 calls a day.

1. Get a free key: POST https://api.waity.ai/v1/keys with JSON {"email":"you@example.com"}. The key is shown once.
2. Add the server:
   - Claude Code: `claude mcp add --transport http waity https://api.waity.ai/mcp --header "X-Api-Key: <key>"`
   - Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf and other JSON configs: `{"mcpServers":{"waity":{"url":"https://api.waity.ai/mcp","headers":{"X-Api-Key":"<key>"}}}}`
   - Claude.ai, ChatGPT and other connectors that take only a URL: `https://api.waity.ai/mcp?key=<key>` (treat this URL like the key).
3. Ask: "How long is the wait at the nearest DMV?" or "Border wait at San Ysidro?"
